By producing a continual stream of publications that appear in international refereed journals, the teaching staff of the Department has earned for themselves recognition in the mathematics community local and abroad.

In recent years, the promotion and support in research by the government and our university

1.  Many of our faculty members are active in research work, attend international conference, joint research work with local specialist or people abroad, take parts in
Research projects of National Science Councils of Republic of China.
In Department has frequent foreign visitors, holds conferences and workshops.

2.  From 1998 to 2004. Our department have been honored with “the Key Department”.

3.  Since 2000, under the support of the Ministry of Education , our Department has set up a teaching consultation center for high school mathematics.

  Ever since 1995 the Department has hosted 20 international conferences or workshops, and members of the Department main close and constant contact with local and oversea mathematicians.  Members actively and frequently participate in international conferences or workshops, and some of them have been invited as keynote speakers.

  This is further buttressed by other mathematics-related public events organized by the Department for school students and teachers.  In this way the Department continues to contribute to the local mathematics education scene …
